My future truly excites me, and sometimes it scares me to the point where I feel overwhelmed. But then I remember a quote I once read,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
This may apply to anything happening around the world, no matter how trivial it may appear. Like I always say, there is such immense power in words, and what we proclaim with our mouths we give power to. I’m learning to be still, trusting that whatever my destiny is, God shall guide me that way and no matter what may come my way, He’s got me covered! Stop hiding your light under a bushell, LET IT SHINE! Don’t deprive the world of your awesomeness because you’re scared your light will blind others. The more light there is, the better the world will be for everyone! (hence people say blowing out someone else’s light doesn’t make yours shine any brighter).
And to quote one of my favourite songs,
“With You on my side, I am victorious
With You on my side, I’ve got nothing to fear
So I can walk through this valley with confidence
Knowing You will deliver me”
